Dispatch. Ranked suggestions, with the reasons shown.

Kairo scores every driver for the job out of 100 and writes down why. You see the distance, the vehicle, the next booking and the history before you assign anyone.

How Kairo ranks a driver.

These are the rules in the code today. The numbers are the defaults every operator starts with, and the one you can change is marked.

  1. Five weighted factors

Each driver is scored out of 100 for the job. Distance to the pickup carries 40 points, vehicle class 20, availability around the pickup time 20, history with the customer 10, and how much work the driver already has that day 10.

  2. Distance fades to zero at 30 miles

A position reported in the last 10 minutes counts in full. A position up to an hour old counts at half weight. A driver with no recent position scores a neutral 20 on distance, and the reason says so rather than guessing.

  3. Availability looks two hours either side

Nothing else booked within two hours of the pickup scores 20. Another booking between one and two hours away scores 10 and is labelled a tight turnaround. A booking inside the hour scores 0 and is labelled a clash.

  4. Vehicle class is exact, compatible or wrong

The driver's booking class, or their vehicle's class, earns 20 points for an exact match, 10 for a compatible class and 0 for a mismatch. A driver with no class on record scores 10, and the reason says the class cannot be confirmed.

  5. History counts the past year

Each time the driver has driven this client or account in the past year adds a point, up to 10.

  6. Every suggestion comes with a sentence

The ranking writes its reasons out, for example: Sam is 4 miles from the pickup. Sam drives S-Class, the class this job asks for, and has nothing else booked within two hours of this pickup. Sam has no other jobs booked that day.

  7. Quick-assign skips two kinds of driver

The quick-assign button on the dispatch board takes the top-ranked driver, but never offers one already booked within an hour of the pickup or one on the wrong vehicle class. Off-shift drivers are still offered, because tomorrow's work is often given to people who are off today.

  8. Clashes are checked with a 30 minute buffer

Driver and vehicle clashes are checked against every other booking with a 30 minute turnaround buffer by default, which you can change in dispatch settings. A true overlap is a hard conflict, a gap shorter than the buffer is a warning, and a booking with an unconfirmed time is flagged for review rather than treated as free.

  9. Tomorrow's summary at 20:00

At 20:00 in your own time zone the office gets a push with tomorrow's job count, how many are unassigned and the projected value. Each driver gets their own, for example: 3 jobs tomorrow, first at 08:15. A job with no agreed time is counted and labelled, never read out as a time.

  10. Long shifts are flagged

A shift that has been open for more than 16 hours is marked for review on the board rather than shown as on shift.

The board shows the same scores.

The dispatch board and the job record read the same ranking, so the office and the person covering the phone see the same order and the same reasons.

Assigning a driver from either place writes to the same job record and tells the driver through the app.

  • DeverComparison row: Driver app. Research checked 6 September 2026.

Yes, iOS and Android driver and passenger apps. Note the main operator console (Dispatch) is a downloadable desktop app via the Mac App Store or a Windows download, not browser-based.

Not described as per-mile plus per-minute chauffeur pricing. Autocab is positioned for "local private hire and taxi operators", with dispatch logic built around ASAP work such as longest-waiting versus nearest car and demand zones.

AI dispatch suggestions and live GPS tracking are on every plan, Starter included. The driver rota, fleet gap analysis and day-order suggestions need the Growth plan. Travel time between two jobs is a separate lookup and is not part of the clash check.
