iCabbi describes its goal as putting taxi companies at the centre of mobility, building for the fleet operator, the driver and the passenger together. It says it is the only taxi dispatch platform powered by Google Fleet Engine, points to a 99.999% uptime figure and a 98% customer retention rate, and has passed one billion trips across fleets with vehicles in the tens of thousands. The product set, Dispatch, a white-label passenger app, a driver app, Driver Docs, Driver Pay, Voice AI phone automation, a corporate Business Solution and an inter-fleet Exchange network, is built around volume, pre-booked and on-demand taxi work.

Where iCabbi may still be the better fit
Scale and backing that Kairo does not have. Majority owned since 2018 by Renault's RCI Bank and Services, trading since 2009/2010, past one billion trips, and used by fleets with vehicles in the 10,000s+. If procurement wants a large, well-capitalised vendor, that's a real answer.
Dispatch depth for high-volume on-demand work: over 1,000 real-time configuration options, zone profiling, overbooking protection, dispatch by traffic-aware ETA via Google Fleet Engine, and a data suite with over 290 reporting parameters.
Telephony. iCabbi Voice is a cloud PBX with IVR, automated callbacks and no-show calls, and Voice AI answers booking calls in natural language, authenticates account callers and quotes a fare. Kairo has no voice or phone-room product.
A white-label passenger booking app in the fleet's own branding, with card, Apple Pay and Google Pay, live tracking, tipping and in-app chat. Kairo offers passenger tracking links and payment links, not a consumer booking app in the operator's name.
The Exchange: an inter-fleet network with app roaming across iCabbi fleets in the UK and Europe, so a passenger can use your app when they travel. Kairo has no equivalent demand network.
Driver-side tooling beyond the job screen: Driver Docs for self-service onboarding with DVLA vehicle checks and document expiry reminders, and Driver Pay for scheduled or instant driver payouts.
Move AI for non-emergency medical transport and school transport, with multi-loading, EVV/Medicaid trip verification and broker integrations. Kairo does not serve that market at all.
Established support and account structure: 24/7 support hub, a named Relationship or Customer Experience Manager, a 99.999% uptime SLA claim, an implementation and migration team that runs parallel testing before go-live, and platform localisation in English, French, Finnish and Swedish.
Who should stay put
If you run a high-volume taxi or private hire operation, tens or hundreds of cars taking on-demand work through a phone room and a public passenger booking app, or you hold NEMT or school transport contracts, you need a volume dispatch platform like iCabbi rather than Kairo.
